On February 15, Bolton Wanderers travelled to the Den in order to play against Milwall and they had to settle with a 1-1 draw but Lukas Jutkiewicz could have changed that if he managed on scoring the penalty set-piece that he stepped up to take but failed on scoring.
Bolton Wanderers took the lead after 15 minutes had passed as Lukas Jutkiewicz as he got the ball past the goalkeeper of Milwall, David Forde. They continued having the upper hand throughout the entire match and just as when it seemed like Bolton was going to come out with all 3 points, Martyn Woolford took advantage of a rebound and equalized the match at the 82nd minute.
Despite claiming 1 point out of the match, the manager of Bolton Wanderers is unhappy with the final outcome of the match as the victory just slipped out of his hands during the last few minutes of the game.
"I'm not really happy with a point because I felt that we controlled the game very well in the first half. We got a good goal with a great cross and great header, then in the second half we defended very well but we missed chances when we hit the post and then the penalty miss so I felt we deserved the three points.
"But because of the missed penalty Millwall upped their game in the last 15 minutes. I thought we defended pretty well during that period but because of the chances we missed we got what we deserved in the end. The game was going flat and if the penalty goes in we win it comfortably. But not only did we miss it, the miss energized the crowd and gave them a lift, which lifted Millwall and we found ourselves defending." Dougie Freedman revealed after the conclusion of the game.
