COYLE LOOKING FORWARD TO WIGAN

Bolton manager Owen Coyle said that he is relishing the prospect of taking on Wigan Athletic knowing that it is one of the few six point matches left of the season.

The Premier league 2011-2012 season is coming to a close. This is the business end of the season and each and every point matters. Bolton will be taking on Wigan athletic who are at the bottom of the table.

Bolton, themselves, have not been doing well this season and find themselves just two places above Wigan athletic. Hence, there is a real threat of relegation from the top flight of English football this season for Bolton Wanderers.

As a result, manager Owen Coyle has said that he is looking at getting on the three points from the home match against Wigan athletic. This local derby has always been played without any pressure from Bolton Wanderers, but this time around, the situation is totally different.

This is because both teams find themselves with the prospect of relegation, although this is something that is totally expected out of Wigan athletic. Either way, Owen Coyle has said that his players should produce the goods in this match in order to relieve themselves out of the intense pressure they have been subjected to in recent weeks.

"We've slipped down a place back into the bottom three, and we're not too happy about that. But equally, we're the masters of our own destiny. We have to give better performances than we did there," he said.

Owen Cole has said that pressure is always there whether the club is challenging for the title or battling against relegation. Bolton Wanderers were beaten by Norwich city in the previous match.

As a result, they have now dropped into the relegation zone ahead of this crucial match with Wigan athletic. The best Premier League betting odds put Bolton at evens to be relegated, whilst Wigan have dropped to odds-on favourites.
